Like all of us we are influenced by our experiences. Several years ago I spent some time in Wainwright Alberta as the Regimental Sergent Major (RSM) of the 3rd Canadian Division Training Centre, where we facilitated the Bold Eagle program. To me this was and is an outstanding Aboriginal youth program run by both the military and aboriginal community from Alberta and Saskatchewan the Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations (FSIN) Long story short I was captivated by the history of the Siksika and Chief Crowfoot. "The Ballad of Crowfoot by Willie Dunn, held at the National Film Board of Canada (Historica Canada) the link is bellow.

Cottonwood Bark Carving

Bark Carving is an incredible medium for woodcarving.

It provides that lush deep wood tones and the live edge on each carving.

Due to the nature of Cottonwood Bark each carving has to be unique to itself

each carving starts with this a raw section of Cottonwood Bark that was removed from a dead Cottonwood tree (never try to remove live bark as it will damage the tree and is useless for woodcarving.

The Ball and Claw Coffee Table, shown to the left, was originally designed to be a dragon coffee table. However, we have used the standard design and now carve it in different themes much like the folding chair, depending on customer preference. The coffee table carving on the left is now in my house and has a floral pattern carved on all four sides of the table skirt. Made out of solid oak this table is both lightweight and considerably strong and will last the ages as a family heirloom. I am currently working on a Celtic design for the fall art show in Fredericton and Moncton, NB, Canada. It should be epic. The coffee table normally retails from $450 CDN depending on the type of wood and detail required in the carving. When you think about how mush you spend on press-board garbage from some of the furniture stores this is an incredible deal as our tables will last for years longer.

Starting at $450.00 Canadian

Just think you could have a handcrafted, hand carved solid Oak, Walnut or Cherry coffee table

For the same price as a cheep presswood bulk store special.

Not to mention we will work with you on the design

To make this more then just a coffee table

But something you and your family will be able to cherish for years to come.

Folding Chairs

Our folding chair design is one of the most popular design we have. It made out of Solid Oak, Walnut or Cherry. It's our theme chair, and what we mean is that the basic design of the chair stays the same while the front of the arms and back of the chair is changed depending on the theme from the customer. For example; the back on this chair was sold to one of our USA customers, looking for the stars and strips theme. The folding chair normally retails from $290-490 CDN depending on the type of wood and detail required in the carving. We only have one chair in stock at this time. That said, we should have a new Canadian theme chair completed by end May 2018.

When you place an order it takes approximately 2-3 weeks to design and build the chair to your theme. All you have to do is let us know what theme you would like and we come up with the design and quote. Once you have approved the design I am off to the shop building it for you. just think what a gift for family or friends or a departing gift for government of privet sector.

Wall Mirrors

The Canadian Mirror, as we call this design with Maple leaves around the complete frame. The mirror is 2 x 3 ft or, as we Canadians would say 60.96 cm x 91.44 cm. The carving can be made out of oak, cherry or walnut, I try to stay away from Basswood for this kind of furniture as the frame needs strength to hold the mirror. I will be carving several of these up in the fall and spring. They normally retail for about $250.00 - 450.00 CDN.

Gothic design wall mirror. I've completed several of these mirrors over the years. This particular mirror is hanging in my house. That said, it is constructed out of solid Cherry, Walnut or Oak and carved with a floral design. Again, you can see it is possible to carve the mirror with a theme. I am planning on having a Dragon mirror completed for the fall show, Why?. Well, because it's fun. This mirror normally retails from $250-450 CDN depending on the type of wood and detail required in the carving.

The lighthouse Mirror is hand carved out of a mixture of wood such as an Oak frame bottom layer to hold the mirror for strength and a basswood layer on top which is hand carved and hand painted. This mirror is 23 inches tall with a mirror of approximately 56 sq inches of surface.

Custom Design Chairs

The Sapper's Chair. The design is very unique and is a mixture of several periods along with our own design aspects. The chair is not just a chair but a work of interactive art with the owner in mind. The new owner is expected to move around the country / world a lot and, as such, any item that could break off must be removable. The coin in the front is a Military Challenge Coin and is not just a coin, it's a hidden switch that opens a hidden drawer in the back of the chair. At the same time there is a small circuit board and speaker placed under the seat that plays the Royal Canadian Engineer March Past when the drawer is opened by pushing the switch.

Folding Doors

The folding door is a four panel door that stands 6 ft tall and has a frame of solid oak, Cherry or Walnut with woven walnut and Birdseye maple in the top and bottom panel, the center is carved with the customer's theme. In this case the customer requested a floral theme. I am currently working on a Celtic design for the fall art show in Fredericton and Moncton, NB, Canada. It should be very cool.

This folding door normally retails from $350-550 CDN depending on the type of wood and detail required in the carving.
